Happy Friday! This weeks Five Friday Faves make me so excited, treats always do. So often I get asked for recommendations on food products, kitchen tools, workout equipment, workout clothes, etc. and I am excited to start sharing a few of my favorite things with you each week! Some of these Friday Fave round ups will contain an affiliate link, meaning at no additional cost to you I may receive commission for your purchase. I only endorse products I love and use myself. These links allow me to continue to support myself and my lil family and provide you with content to fuel your best life with food and fitness more regularly. As always, I SO appreciate your support!
This week I’m sharing with you all a few of my favorite recipes for treats and ways to incorporate BALANCE. Something I’ve only recently found in my life when it comes to personal/professional life and these are some of the ways I make it happen.
RGE Healthy Twix Bars. This is my FAVORITE sweet treat right now. We have made them SO many times in the last couple weeks. What I love about it: This recipe is gluten free and dairy free (a must for our household) and free of refined sugars and it’s super satisfying! It’s also the perfect balance of salty and sweet. I don’t remember what real twix bars taste like, but I’d be find just eating these forever.
The Texanerin Chocolate Chip Cookies. Y’all. This grain free chocolate chip cookie recipe is bomb. It’s another go to sweet treat in our house that is gluten and dairy free. I substitute Bob’s Red Mill Egg Replacer in for the eggs and it works perfectly! I’ve been working to minimize my refined sugar intake, so this is another go to when I’m wanting something sweet. The texture of these cooks is perfect despite the lack of gluten, eggs, and dairy.
Four Sigmatic Hot Cocoa. I’ve been searching for a hot cocoa option that is dairy free, lower in sugar, and satisfying. Enter these bad boys. I love mixing mine with oat milk or almond milk as a sweet treat after dinner. It legit tastes like hot cocoa but with the added bonus of some adaptogens and totally satisfies my massive sweet tooth.
Atomic Habits. I would describe this book as life changing. I will likely re read it after Michael finishes it. It’s a great practical guide to habits, and how to set your self up for success in an environment that makes creating new habits easy.
Present Over Perfect. This book I would also describe as life changing. I talk more about how it impacted my journey in this blog on my own wellness journey over the last year. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone out there that would describe themselves as a “yes” person and tends to overfill their plate. It gave me the boost I needed to really make some changes.
I’d love to know if you give any of these a try and are as obsessed as I am! Got any areas you want me to tackle next (kitchen appliances, bathroom musts, home goods, fitness equipment etc.)?? Let me know in the comments! Looking forward to sharing with you guys the tools I’ve used to change, elevate, and improve my day to day!
