Workout Edition

Happy Friday! If you’ve been following along on my YouTube channel you’ve seen that I’ve been ramping up my workout game, so this week I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite workout related tools from my favorite smoothie to my foam roller. Why did I start Friday Faves? So often I get asked for recommendations on food products, kitchen tools, workout equipment, workout clothes, etc. and I am excited to start sharing a few of my favorite things with you each week! My favorite post workout smoothie. This shake is full of chocolate-y peanut buttery goodness and has been one of my go to’s for years after workouts or as a quick breakfast. It seriously tastes more like a milkshake than a smoothie and I’m here.for.it.

Vega Sport Performance Protein. Protein powders can be a sensitive subject, from the texture to the taste we tend to either love ’em or hate ’em. Our household is dairy free, and this plant based protein is my fave. I use it in the smoothie recipe above, in proats (protein powder + oats), protein pancakes and more! The vanilla is also my favorite for green smoothies or overnight proats.

Reusable straw in action

Reusable Straws. I’m a straw person. I drink my iced coffee with a straw, my smoothies, and my water. I use like three of these daily in various beverages. I had a bit of trouble finding my favorites, because the stainless steel straws freeze my teeth! (anyone else??)

Foam Roller. Guys. I have some strong opinions about foam rollers. This one is my one and only. Why? I’m not into the shorter foam rollers, because I can’t fit my whole body on it comfortably to roll my larger muscles like quads.

Resistance Bands. These are my go to at home workout prop. They are so portable and perfect to use when travels. And they might look small, but man, they can be used in a killer workout! Looking for my favorite band moves? Check out my favorite band workout here.
