Meet the Raynors

Hi! We’re the Raynors.

We are the husband and wife team behind Raynor Strength and Nutrition.

We met at Meredith College while getting our Masters Degrees in Nutrition and bonded over a love for early mornings, running, and coffee…and nutrition, of course! We dreamed of owning a business together that supported our community in developing sustainable fitness and nutrition habits that fuel their goals. Whether those goals are competing at a high level in endurance sports, climbing the corporate ladder, or simply showing up in life with energy and zest – we believe nutrition and fitness impact your performance, period. We are passionate about supporting YOU in improving your performance and accomplishing your goals. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Liz Raynor is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) passionate about helping others create sustainable nutrition and movement habits to fuel their life and athletic goals. Liz earned her BA in Exercise and Sport Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her Masters of Science in Nutrition at Meredith College, and completed her Dietetic Internship through Meredith College. As a dietitian, Liz specializes in working with endurance athletes seeking better fueling strategies for their training, individuals food allergies, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), or those seeking weight management support. Liz has over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. When it comes to fitness and nutrition, Liz is all about two things: individualization + habits. Michael Raynor MS, RD, LDN

Michael Raynor is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a USAC Level 3 Cycling Coach passionate about helping clients discover the link between what they eat and how they feel and perform. His interest and love for nutrition started in high school where he played ice hockey and eventually picked up cycling and bicycle racing—racing at a national and international level. It was through sports that Michael realized the direct link between the food we eat and how we feel and perform.

Michael is a Raleigh-native and received his BS in Nutrition from North Carolina State University. He went on to complete his Master’s degree and dietetic internship through Meredith College. He has a wide breadth of experience working with clients with cardiovascular diseases, weight management, diabetes, and athletes, and he especially enjoys helping clients fuel their workouts and fitness endeavors with a well-balanced diet.

When not helping clients reach their goals and achieve their best health and fitness, Michael loves to ride his bike, walk his dog, Baker, with his wife, and go camping and hiking.
